Ear fungus facts

Fungi spores are found to be airborne and find an easy invasion into the ears of humans and animals through ear canals or sinuses. Fungi are specially found in abundance in moist and crowded areas like swimming pools, hot tubs, shower rooms and tubs. On the establishment of contact with these fungi spores they enter the ears and multiply in number due to a habitable warm and moist environment. One of the most common types of ear fungi that distresses humans is swimmers ear. The progression of this infection is generally identified by extreme pain, inflammation, infection and sometimes irritation in the ear. These symptoms aggravate only when the ear wax, in abundance, traps the fungi and bacteria and allow them to multiply in number. The best way to get rid of this condition is by dropping two-three drops of hydrogen peroxide into the affected ear. In fact, according to several health practitioners, the solution of hydrogen peroxide should be applied at the end of every swimming session so as to avoid the invasion of any harmful microscopic being. Further, if you suspect the onset of a fungal infection in your ear, you must immediately consult a doctor. He may suggest you a specialized anti-fungal drops so as to gradually eliminate the fungi infestation.
